MIT WPU Technology Business Incubator (TBI) is an official innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of MIT World Peace University (MIT WPU). MIT TBI was founded in 2016 and is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to nurture technology business incubation ecosystem across India. We support early-stage entrepreneurs (including students) as well as experienced startups through funding, mentoring and network connect.

MIT WPU Technology Business Incubator is a Section-8 Not-for-Profit company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 with an objective of promoting innovation and entrepreneuship.

Yes, MIT TBI is approved as a Technology Business Incubator by the Govt. of India and supported by the Department of Science and Technology. (List of approved incubation centres)

MIT TBI is located inside the campus of MIT World Peace University in Pune's Kothrud area. We have 11,000 sq. ft of dedicated space reserved for supporting entrepreneurs and innovators. This facility comprises of co-working office spaces, rapid prototyping lab, etc.

Yes, we incubate student-founded startup companies and provide them the necessary handholding and mentoring support. MIT WPU stuents and alumni get 1-year waiver on office rent.

We have set up hi-end CAD workstations and composite 3D printing facility for manufacturing high-strength components using material such as carbon fibre, onyx, nylon, etc. Our 3D printing facility is available for use of MSMEs at an affordable rate. (3D printing brochure)

Subject to funds availability under different funding/prototyping grant programs, we may provide funding to eligible startup companies. Presently, we are providing grant and seed funding to selected startups under Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS). Visit our Funding page for additional information.

Dr. Sathe has several years of industry experience including nearly 5 years within incubation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. An engineer by profession, he brings in technical expertise required for technology innovations.

Snehal who is a computer science engineering graduate, comes with 3+ years of experience in Startup and Incubation ecosystem. She currently handles different strategical and executional aspects of MIT TBI.
